Kettlebell with Julie Northrup

Julie has been practising kettlebell for five years and certified to teach three years ago. In addition to kettlebell, Julie has done Pilates for the last nine years and taken classes in weight lifting and stretching. She cycles and skates regularly and last year joined the Limestone Ladies to hike the Bruce Trail end-to-end (a five year plan). As well, she is completing a certificate program in Fitness Leadership from Humber College.

As with many women, Julie reached fifty and realized she had better begin to look after her own well-being. Kettlebell is an integral part of Julie’s overall wellness program to help take her into her sixties healthy and fit. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of kettlebell and working with class participants to meet their own objectives.

Briar came to Yoga through a dance and performance background with a desire to stay fit and gain more peace of mind. As an actor and singer, she brings a creative approach to her teaching and workshop environments so that students of all levels can benefit from the mind/body inspired teachings of Yoga.

Briar has participated in many advanced teacher trainings and yoga workshops as well as meditation retreats here in Canada, in the US, Costa Rica, Tobago, France and Mexico.

I am a fully certified Stott Pilates Instructor and have been teaching for 5 years now.

Coming full circle with my professional career; starting out as a professional ballet/contemporary dancer in my younger years ( many full moons ago...), and now as a pilates instructor -Movement has always been my passion!

For me, ' Proper Form = Proper Function'
A lot of my clients have been with me for more than 3 years now and thus, our sessions have become 'fun' gatherings.

I've always tried to make my classes as 'enjoyable' as I can; so that my clients look forward to them!

Iyengar Yoga with Richard Jezior

Richard is an internationally certified Iyengar yoga teacher (Junior Intermediate 1 Level). 

Richard first began practicing yoga in Poland in 1979. He travelled to India in 1996 and completed a month long teacher training program. After taking classes in various yoga styles , he was drawn to the clarity, safety and therapeutic effects of the Iyengar methodology. He completed a three year teacher training program under Marlene Mawhinney at the Yoga Center Toronto and started teaching yoga in 1999.

During his five visits to India, Richard was fortunate to study directly with the Iyengar family in Pune and attended classes in Mumbai and Rishikesh with senior Iyengar teachers such as Father Joe Pereira, Zubin Zarthoshtimanesh and Jawahar Bangera.
Maryna's yoga journey began many years ago when she was a student in the Academy of Art (Kiev, Ukraine), exploring the yoga philosophy and eastern traditions. Since then, she has experienced several different styles of yoga, but the depth of Iyengar Hatha Yoga traditions led her to pursue this method.  She continues to be inspired by B.K.S.  Iyengar's unique investigation of alignment and its therapeutic effect, not only on the physical body but also subtle impact on the flow energy and unsciousness in the mind.   Now she is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher having trained at Yoga Centre Toronto.  As a teacher her goal is to promote healing, well being and balance through the practice of Iyengar Yoga.

Methodical in his teaching, Richard lays a solid foundation for a safe yoga practice gradually and progressively refining each of the asanas.  

Started Ooi’s Tae Kwon-Do 1984 and Goju Ryu Karate 1987, Received black belt 1991 from Sensei Christopher Doyle and shodan 1991 from O’Sensei Richard Kim DNBK Hanshi.

Alisa Walton is a physical theatre performer with over 20 years of performance experience. She is Conservatory trained at the School of Physical Theatre, and Dance trained at some of Canada’s finest Dance Boarding Schools like the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, and Ottawa’s School of Dance under the direction of Celia Franca.

Alisa says ballet is hard.  She's not wrong!
